Privacy and customer data

What is collected, who receives it, and how to ask for help.

Quote Portals provides the intake technology. The service business named on a quote page receives the customer's submission and handles the actual quote, follow-up, and service.

Quote-request details

Customers may submit their name, phone, email, service details, address or city, preferred timing, reply preference, and notes so the service business can respond.

Photos

Uploaded photos help the service business understand the job. They are provided with the request and are not displayed on the public quote page.

Service-business access

The service business that owns the quote page can review its submissions in a private owner dashboard. Quote Portals can access data when needed to operate or support that portal.

Business setup payments

Quote Portals does not store card numbers. Stripe handles card entry and payment processing when a service business purchases setup or hosting and support.

Browser-tab drafts

While a customer completes a quote request, the current browser tab keeps an unfinished draft so a refresh does not immediately erase the answers. The business setup packet uses the same tab-scoped approach for typed setup details; selected logo files are not placed in browser storage. These drafts stay on that device, are cleared after a successful submission, and end when the browser tab or session closes. Legacy longer-lived browser drafts are removed when the current form opens.

Optional Google address suggestions

When suggestions are available, text typed into an address field after the first few characters is sent through Quote Portals to Google Places to return matching addresses. Customers can still type an address manually if suggestions are unavailable or they prefer not to select one.

Service providers

The providers used to run the product.

These providers support specific parts of Quote Portals. Their systems process the information needed to provide those parts of the service.

Vercel provides website and application hosting.
Supabase provides authentication, database services, and private file storage.
Resend provides transactional email delivery, including new-request notifications.
Stripe handles Quote Portals setup and recurring business payments.
Google Places provides optional address suggestions when a customer types in an address field.
When AI-assisted setup drafting is enabled, OpenRouter processes the business setup text provided by the owner to help prepare a draft. That feature is not given customer quote requests or customer photos.

Export and deletion requests

A service business can request an export or deletion review for its portal data by emailing hello@quoteportals.com. Include the business name and quote-page link when available.

A customer can use the same address to ask about a submission. Quote Portals may need to verify the request and coordinate with the service business that received it. We will explain the available export or deletion steps after verification.

Customer submissions are not public pages and are not sold as leads. Customers do not need a Quote Portals account; business owners use their own login to review requests.
